What's your name, by the way?
no subject
I'm Naegi Makoto. One of Midoriya-kuns coworkers.
Action, backdated
...She hadn't realised she'd have to sit down and talk to him if they stopped here, but right now, she was feeling just a little bit overwhelmed.
All the same, she instinctively took a glance around to check the terrain.]
All clear. No further hostiles.
♥
I'm glad we managed to find a calm spot. I think we have quite a bit to talk about.
no subject
...affirmative.
[She wished she'd gotten new combat gloves. Maybe her hands wouldn't be so sweaty that way.]
I...guess you have questions.

[He's fresh from the Research Center, right into the Stampeding Statue event.]

...You've only just been deployed here- um- I mean, so, like-
[A hint of the tone she used in her disguise slipping out, as she struggled to figure out how she was supposed to talk to him.]

[A pause, whilst their coffees/hot drinks of choice were brought over.]
I think I was one of the first...hey, you said you knew everything, right?
no subject
I've... lived through the killing game. During it we got information on your involvement. So while I don't remember you, I do know of you.
tw emotional abuse
[The last traces of her attempting to scramble the pieces of her act back together fell aside.
It was a sobering thought. That Makoto...knew her. He didn't remember her- of course not, she never expected those memories to come back- but he really knew her. But who did he hear that from? Junko herself?
...She can't imagine he heard anything other than how stupid she was- how ugly, how disappointing- she's sure Junko would've said things like that. But somehow, that didn't matter so much right now.
Mukuro felt her eyes sting.
He knew her.]
I didn't think you'd ever know I existed...

[He doesn't mention anything about the reuse of her corpse, not at this time.]

yes, he totally is banking on him inviting Mukuro along). The restaurant is a sushi place in Sunwaning, so not too far from either of their homes!]Makoto-kun,
Thank you for the delicious onigiri and sushi. They were delectable. Sadly I couldn't find out what Eevees like, but send your little friend my regards (and your roommate as well)! Enjoy the holidays.

[So, so awkward. Usually Christmas Eve was reserved for romantic dates, so...there was every chance he'd realise what was going on! ...Mukuro still doubted he'd like a disappointing, plain girl like her, but she at least wanted to try.]
no subject
Okay. This is a chance. If she's asking him out, maybe...]
I don't have any plans. In fact, I got two vouchers for a sushi place in Sunwaning we could use together. I would really like that.
no subject
Sorry to bother you I[Mukuro had just started typing an awkward but understanding message that she was sorry for bothering him and to enjoy whatever other plans he had-... but then she realised he'd actually accepted!
He said yes. He actually said yes??
She quickly deleted her first message.]
Really? I want to. I really want to.
[He said yes!!!!]

He's also getting a friendship bracelet in green and yellow colours.]

He had been about to storm down there and demand information in person- but then he saw the username of the person in charge: "hopespeak". That was undoubtedly someone from home... and if so, a more careful approach was in order.
It was for that reason he sent a message, in the first instance, so he could work out exactly who he was dealing with.]
I need information regarding our current circumstances. Tell me when the earliest I can come by the Welcome Centre to discuss is.
I would rather not be kept waiting, of course.
[Whatever happened to polite niceties... but if this was someone he knew, this would probably not come as a surprise.]

Hello!
I'm available right away, if you'd prefer. Just ask for Naegi Makoto if I'm not at the front desk.
no subject
Either way, he did at least have a name to work with, that was good!
Let's try for something that could either be read as familiar or a confirmation of understanding; ]
Naegi, good.
Tell your colleagues to expect Togami Byakuya to be coming by imminently, then.
[Now to see if that would get anything...]
no subject
Understood. We will be waiting for you.
And it's good to hear from you.
Action; Naegi's place idk Amy wants cute snuggle time
Flop.
That would be the sound of Mukuro leaning over from where she's sitting by him, and resting her head on Naegi's shoulder.]
...can I just stay here a minute?
[Comfy...]
no subject
Of course. As long as you want to.
[Naegi puts hand on hers, just holding it gently. Just to have the contact, other than her head on his shoulder.]
no subject
You know... I thought about asking you to stay by my side before now. Even back home, before... everything.
But I never thought it would actually happen.
no subject
I'm glad we can, now.
[He still doesn't remember her from before. He doesn't remember anything from Hope's Peak before the Killing Game. What were his feeling for Mukuro like? Would he have responded to them? Mysteries he may never know.
Mysteries that didn't matter right now.]
I have been thinking that we could move in together at some point. I know you live with your brother and all, but... maybe sometime in the future.
no subject
[But- living together? The blush on her cheeks only deepened.]
...I'd like that. Our Pokémon get on, and Frigg and Freya like you, so there shouldn't be any problems.
[Be prepared to be nibbled by guinea pigs more often, Naegi!]
I think... it might be nice to stay somewhere in Sunwaning, but, um, were you thinking somewhere different?
[Most of her family lived there, after all, and that was where Volcanus was.]
no subject
[It felt warm and cozy.]
But we don't have to make any decisions right away. Just a thought we can think about.
no subject
[A pause, before; ]
...Hey, when all this is over, what do you think you're going to do?
[She'd always assumed Makoto would return to their world. Somewhere she couldn't follow, given she'd already lost her life. But she when he described Sunwaning as like home... maybe? Maybe.]
no subject
To be honest, I don't know. A big part of me wants to stay and develop my life here, but there is still stuff I have to do back home... if I could do both, that would be great.
no subject
It might be possible to go between the two. I think it's been that way for other deployments to other worlds, once the mission is cleared up.
...I can't go back, and I don't want to stop you doing what you need to do back there. But... it would be nice if I can stay with you a little longer.

As former head of the Welcoming Committee, I was wondering if I could suggest a few things for the Welcome Center, if you wanted to take a listen. One of them is related to the Welcome Center itself and another is more... voluntary?
Not necessarily related to 'welcoming', but could be adjacent, I guess.
no subject
Of course. I will definitely listen to your suggestions. The Welcome Center always has room for improvements.
cw: yeah this is gonna have casual talk of death
1. The Technology Club was thinking that there should be an area set aside to help people who aren't too familiar with tech and area where they can learn the basics.l, since not everyone will come from a world that has it, or is on the same level as Ellipsa. I was planning on making a PowerPoint, but also people could volunteer their time to be more hands on with someone and properly teach them if that's what they prefer.
2. The second one is more voluntary, really. When I had the Welcoming Committee set up, people used to make Welcome Baskets with items that would be useful and also included baking goods. Obviously, the person who did this isn't here anymore, but I'd like to bring it back in some shape or form if we aren't already doing it. However, I don't want to just have this for just the new arrivals (or any returning arrivals) but... I was thinking that anyone who dies in Ellipsa should be granted a "Welcome Back" basket of sorts. Sure, people come back, but that doesn't make things entirely better for them.
Thoughts?
slinks back here late af
Recently, a group of natives have made a type of gift basked that has some treats, basic ingredients for making meals and some gift cards for the Underground Mall.
But expanding on that idea would be great. And I do agree that we should give out some for those who die.
no subject
That works! I'll see if anybody might be interested in volunteering.
